  • Who is Belina?

Collaboration consultant, coach of compassionate comedy on climate and social issues, and complexity capacity builder so we can better align with nature and joy.

    Hi! My name is Belina.

I am based in Berlin, Germany.

    Ich bin ein Belina.

I am part US-American, part French, and I lived in England for 15 years. This makes me effectively Canadian.

    Giggling

I giggle a lot. Mostly because I love my work.

For over 10 years, I have been teach a loving form of stand up comedy to people working on social or environmental issues. Participants include climate scientists, environmental Phds, humanitarian workers, mums with a great insight on parenting, and many others.

    That site is www.sustainablestandup.com.

    I help people to:

    • notice patterns which help us or hinder us from being more awesome/human/compassionate/effective with each other and with Earth
    • engage others in meaningful, memorable, and delightful ways
    • not burn out when we need them most

    with

I help people working on meaningful, complex projects within or across organisations to collaborate and communicate more effectively, wisely, and delightfully. Since 2007, I have been teaching people to practice applied improvisation. I was. on the board of the Applied Improvisation Network for six years and co-chaired many of their international conferences during that time. And my main improv site is www.maffick.com.

    Earth

It's where I'm from - because explaining that I lived in the US, Mexico, Canada, Hong Kong, the UK and Germany is too complex for most people. Applied improv is 'the gym' for complexity, and I have worked with the fabulous ladies behind the 35 year old Human Systems Dynamics Institute, an organisational complexity consultancy and education organisation.

I design and support unique sustainability learning projects which help us better engage in the complex nature of turning struggling lives and soil into thriving, life-supporting, delightful places with healthier, happier living conditions. That work is enriched by my comedy and applied improv work. If that sounds interesting, you are in the right place. This website. :)
